Replicate the action of winching the sail on a sailing boat.

The WaterGrinder offers a cardiovascular workout using just your upper body. Compact in design, the WaterGrinder uses water for resistance which minimises impact on joints and the back. Ideal for rehabilitation, the Water Grinder’s removable seat means that the machine can be used sitting down, standing up, or in a wheelchair. The extendable arms on the grinder, allow for increased or reduced leverage during your workout.

WATER RESISTANCE

The WaterGrinder’s paddle is ergonomically shaped to provide smooth, even resistance as it moves through the water tank. Water resistance is self-determined, the harder you crank the handle, the greater the resistance.

REHABILITATION

Ideal for rehabilitation and those with chronic injuries. The WaterGrinder enables a cardiovascular workout using only the upper body, perfect for anyone suffering from joint and lower back pain. The Grinders removable seat means it can be used sitting down, standing up, or from a wheelchair.

SIT OR STAND, PUSH OR PULL

The wooden seat can be set on either side of the WaterGrinder and at 3 different heights. Enabling both pushing and pulling actions. The machine can also be used without the seat from a standing position or a wheelchair.

ADJUSTABLE CRANK

The hand crank arm can be set in 8 different positions to adjust resistance: the smaller the rotation radius, the higher the intensity.

STRENGTH ENDURANCE TRAINING

Grinders, the athletes on board competitive sailing teams responsible for winching the sail, are among the fittest strength endurance athletes in professional sports. A sailing grinder is renowned for combining explosive strength with high levels of endurance. The WaterGrinder allows you to replicate the training regime of a sailing grinder from dry land.

The WaterGrinder is fitted with a touch screen Performance Monitor as standard. The Performance Monitor records and displays metrics including distance, calories, speed, and time.

ADJUSTABLE POSITION

The Grinders Performance Monitor is easily adjusted to different heights and to both sides of the machine to suit your workout and seating or standing position.
